A look at HP’s ultra-thin v155w USB Flash Drive.

Friday, April 9th, 2010

It’s fascinating how technology is advancing everyday. HP’s new series of thin/small flash drives are perfect example of how technology has transformed the shape and size of many devices. Inspite of me being very busy, I couldn’t resist to write a small review on HP’s new v155w flash drive.

I received it from my friend for transferring some data. So I thought of taking a deep look in and out of the device. So here’s the small pictorial review:

Airtel Introduced 2 New GPRS plans.

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Finally after almost year and a half, Airtel has come up with two new “affordable” GPRS plans in Karnataka (No idea in other states). The two new plans are like this:

Recharge with Rs. 19 – You get 200 MB of usage for 3 Days.
Recharge with Rs 98. – You get 2 GB of usage for a month.

These plans are really worth for people who are thirsty for Internet on the move. Since this is “Mobile Office” and not “Airtel Online”, you can browse internet even on your laptop or desktop with your phone connected as a modem. These two plans are good enough for people who require internet on the move just to send and receive emails and to browse a little. And for those who want internet on their mobile phones, its more then enough to waste the bandwidth on whatever they would like to do.

Just to check, I first opted for 3 days plan, and I was really happy with the speed on the phone. But when connected to PC, it’s not enough for browsing heavy sites. For emails, its okay. And now I’ve activated the 98 bucks plan and am really happy to have affordable internet on the move once again. Hope airtel not to discontinue this plan again for heaven’s sake.

A new look for my blog!

History.

hddEver since I started this blog, I have changed about 4 themes. Out of which 3 are designed from other Web Designers. But after I became as a Web Designer myself, I started designing many themes for wordpress and I designed a very simple theme for my blog which was just around 30KB in size including images, it was WP-Replica. That was my 4th theme and was designed by myself. I used that theme for more than 6 months.

The Making….

designAnd for a change for this new year, I decided to design a theme for my blog and came up with this theme. I wanted the theme to be clean, elegant and dark. So I started hunting for a good dark abstract wallpaper or image on the web and came up with JosephYang’s Titanium Silver wallpaper. Later I optimized the image to load faster on slower connections. So honestly I did not design the background of this theme. So all credit goes to him.

The BIG Idiot Box!

The BIG Idiot Box!

Yes, you are right! The TV! But this isn’t the same old Idiot Box, but this is the Reliance BIG TV (DTH).

In our home, we said good bye to the last mile Cable connection and opted for the Reliance BIG TV DTH Service.

I don’t wanna write a review on this thing, because there are already enough published in the internet by many users and review gurus. So I just would like to type in few words about the “service” in my little blog.

Being a service, it has its own advantages and disadvantages like every other services does. But I don’t think there is much disadvantages in Reliance BIG TV DTH service when compared to few others. I do agree that there are big brothers in the market who can slam BIG TV down, but when it comes to the pricing and the quality, Reliance BIG TV is great!

There are few people who say that the Customer Care for this service is a nightmare, but here in Bangalore, its really good and they has an excellent follow up with the customers. Even the installation guy has given his personal number so that I can contact him at any time!

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000

Sorry for not posting lately. I was quite busy with my real life rituals.

Anyway, I bought a new wireless combo for my desktop today and thought of blogging it. I am not interested in writing any reviews for this thing, coz there are already enough reviews available on this particular model. But yet, I like to post my user experience as of now. This is entry level wireless combo that most people can afford easily. In fact, it’s much more than a entry level combo. There are plenty of features that will sure impress you.

I bought this combo for 1,850 Rs (including tax) here in Bangalore at S.P Road.

So far so good, I am having a good experience. The ergonomics is really good. The mouse is bit large compared to my old Wired 500. It is large coz it houses two AA batteries inside it. It’s also heavy coz of the same reason, but you won’t find any issues with the weight, because it is large and fits in your palm very comfortably.
